Badung, Bali – On December 12, 2024, Karang Taruna Badung Village, Bali, will conduct an industrial visit to the CV Jembar Kuasih Gusti factory, which operates under the auspices of the Indonesian Coconut Charcoal Briquette Entrepreneurs Association (HIPBAKI). This activity aims to provide insight and deeper understanding to Karang Taruna members regarding the coconut charcoal briquette industry, as well as open up opportunities for them to develop entrepreneurial potential based on local natural resources.
The CV Jembar Kuasih Gusti factory located in Ciampea Bogor is known as one of the leading coconut charcoal briquette producers in Indonesia. Coconut charcoal briquette products, made from coconut shells, have gained popularity due to their environmentally friendly and efficient nature as an alternative fuel. Not only does it have high demand in the domestic market, this product has also penetrated the export market, making it one of Indonesia’s leading commodities.
Improving Industrial Knowledge and Entrepreneurship
This industrial visit is planned as an opportunity for young people from Karang Taruna Badung Village to learn more about the coconut charcoal briquette production process, from processing raw materials to finished products. In addition, participants will also gain an understanding of the challenges and opportunities in this industry, which can be used as inspiration to open similar businesses or even develop derivative products based on coconut raw materials.

The Indonesian Coconut Charcoal Briquette Entrepreneurs Association (HIPBAKI) represented by Bagus Widiasmara Dewa as Executive Director and V Adi Ariyanto as Deputy Executive Director will also attend this visit to provide an explanation of HIPBAKI’s role in developing the coconut charcoal briquette industry in Indonesia. HIPBAKI as an organization that houses coconut charcoal briquette entrepreneurs plays an important role in improving product quality, introducing new innovations, and opening up a wider market for these products.
This visit is expected to open up opportunities for collaboration between Karang Taruna Desa Badung and the coconut charcoal briquette industry, both in terms of developing coconut-based entrepreneurship and skills training for young people. With the great potential of this industry, Karang Taruna sees opportunities for young people in the village to be directly involved in the production process or start small businesses that can support the coconut charcoal briquette industry in Bali.
